A school is place of learning for a child. It is a training ground for him. Here he forms new associates, comes in contact with boys of different temperaments and forms new ideas and habits.

I was enrolled in a new school. The memory of my first day in school is still fresh in my mind. I was very excited when I got acquainted with my new classmates. Then I shared summer impressions with them. My teacher encouraged me and treated kindly. I felt a bit nervous in the new environment but soon I was curious about everything.

Mobile phones are used widely in our every day giving us the freedom to communicate anywhere and at anytime. I use headphones when I am in public transport. I read books to be well educated. I read magazines to find some interesting information. I read a newspaper when I need a TV programme. I use laptop to surf the Internet.

A: Have you decided on a present yet?

T: I’d like to buy either a computer game or a CD.

A: Computer games have developed into a mass form of media lately. Children and teenagers spend hours playing them.

T: Dan knows the right balance between work and leisure.

A: As far as I know he has a great number of computer games. Let’s buy him a CD.

T: Who is his favourite singer?

A: Why don’t we ask Ann?
