Easter is a great holiday in Ukraine. On Easter Sunday people usually go to church, give thanks to God, sing songs, listen to music. In Ukraine we make Easter cakes. An Easter cake is called paska. We paint eggs, too. Families have a big dinner. Say hello to your family.

I live in Kharkiv. It is a very big city in Kharkiv region. It took its name after the river it stands on. Klavdia Shulzhenko and Ludmila Hurchenko were born in Kharkiv. Pavlo Tychyna, Volodymyr Sosiura, Ivan Bunin visited Kharkiv. There are many famous things in Kharkiv. The Kharkiv University is the oldest University in Ukraine. It was founded in 1805. There are a lot of other institutes and universities in Kharkiv. There are a lot of places of interest in Kharkiv. There are a lot of museums, squares, theatres, parks and monuments there. Freedom Square is the biggest in Ukraine and the second largest in Europe. Kharkiv is very beautiful in spring. I’m proud of my city.
